Our Goal

The Governor’s Overdose Task Force has a mission to: address the overdose crisis, ensure racial equity is embedded across all pillars, change lives, uplift community voices, use data to drive change, and build connections to care. The Task Force is committed to addressing the root causes of overdose including the socioeconomic factors that influence health.


 

Our state has four main pillars to save lives and address the overdose crisis.

 
We will reinforce comprehensive prevention, strengthen harm reduction and rescue services, increase engagement in treatment, and support recovery. Learn more about our strategic plan.

Prevention
We can stop the harm of substance use by supporting people as early as possible.

Rescue
Everyone can learn to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to respond using naloxone.

FACT :  You can get free overdose response training and get naloxone delivered to your home.

Treatment
There are multiple treatment options for anyone who is ready to get help. Get Treatment

Recovery
We know that recovery is possible and there are multiple pathways.
