Support When You Need it Most

During a recent public forum, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) announced revised policies that will undoubtedly impact members and families across Arizona. Many individuals and families have understandably expressed concerns and fears about the impact of these policies.

The Autism Society of Greater Phoenix continuously advocates in partnership with various organizations on reviewing changes and polices that impact the disability community. Our Director of Advocacy, Cynthia Macluskie, works continuously to improve systems of care and ASGP is part of several advocacy organizations. We believe that every individual deserves access to essential services that promote independence, inclusion, and a better quality of life.

Our organization is run by families, for families. And in times of uncertainty, we are here for you. Our website is full of resources; we have created a page dedicated to helping you more easily navigate supports during these challenging times.

Awareness, Acceptance & inclusion every day

I Am Campaign

Autism is estimated to occur in as many as 1 in 31 individuals (CDC). We asked you to join us to Celebrate Differences. The purpose of the “I Am” Campaign is to break stereotypes of Autism. This campaign is designed to feature our community and showcase our community members for who they truly are. Participants are members of our local community who created their own “I AM.” View this video to see all our submissions. Thank you to everyone who participated!

The Connection is you

Connect with Others

We know what it’s like raising a loved one with Autism. Our Executive Director, Community Director and the majority of our Board of Directors and volunteers are parents of someone on the spectrum and/or identify as Neurodiverse. One of the most important things we can do is connect with others who understand the challenges and blessings that come with raising a loved with a disability. It’s equally important for Autistic youth and adults to feel supported and valued. You can learn about what we do here

We invite you to attend our comprehensive 101 training series to help you learn how to navigate the systems of care in Arizona, how to keep your loved one safe across all stages of life and learn about the valuable resources and supports into adulthood. The knowledge you receive will create a ripple effect; allowing you to help others.

Come and join us at one of our events and support group meetings around The Valley. We have meetings for parents and caregivers and events for Autistic individuals of all ages. We would love to meet you!
