My updated iPad does want to enter my credit card into it (giving me the option above the keyboard), my iPhone running iOS 18 only suggests me to add a credit card by scanning it. Both aren't blocking me like the macOS behaviour. I feel Apple did broaden the scope of what they see as a credit card field in the new version, probably due to low correct autocomplete value adoption.

I've tested this on macOS 15 (Sequoia) and safari 18.6 and am unable to replicate the issue.

I'm pretty sure dropping Safari 10 would arguably give us level 1 of CSS Grid which I feel like is a pretty compelling factor, though that's only if you ignore how it's a non-default feature flag for Firefox up to 51 and Chrome up to 56. I'm not sure what the precedent is on whether non-default feature flags count as "support".

Entertainingly, this turned out to also be something I did in one of my earliest patches back in 2016. Back then we grew an earlier tiny-image because of Safari getting stricter, and 9 years later Safari's strictness has continued to march on.
