On Monday, Feb. 3, the Philadelphia Eagles running back, 27, talked about his proposal to fiancée Anna Congdon, 26, during a Super Bowl press conference. Asked whether asking her to marry him or the prospect of the upcoming Super Bowl made him more nervous, Barkley joked, “That's the second time I had that question. I probably shouldn't have said proposing.” “I'm just not good with stuff like that,” he added of asking Congdon to be his wife. “I'm a lover boy, but I'm not like a clever lover boy.” “I’m simple and basic," he said, noting that football — "something I've been doing for a really long time" — is more in his comfort zone.
