However, the star remained silent on what the malfunction was, adding that he could only reveal it when the movie is released next year

"I’ve got one from Practical Magic 2 that I cannot say,” he told his The Running Man costars Josh Brolin and Glen Powell, after they were asked about their most memorable on-set mishap.

While the actors tried to persuade Pace to spill the beans, he whispered, “I cannot, I cannot,” adding that “It’ll be for a year when it comes out.”

Practical Magic 2 is the fantasy romantic comedy-drama sequel to Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman's 1998 movie.

The upcoming film stars returning actors Bullock (Sally Owens), Kidman (Gillian Owens), Stockard Channing (Frances "Franny" Owens), and Dianne Wiestas  (Bridget "Jet" Owens) as well as new cast members Pace, Joey King, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod. It is based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 novel The Book of Magic, which is a sequel to the original novel.

While King will play Sally’s daughter, Wiest and Channing are returning as the aunties of Kidman and Bullock’s characters, who are sisters.

A synopsis for the movie reads: “A multi-generational family of witches, cursed to be loveless for centuries, attempts to break the spell by confronting dark secrets and sacrificing for each other.”

In September, Kidman announced that they had wrapped filming the sequel.

“That’s a wrap on #PracticalMagic2! Thank you to the cast & crew for all your magic ✨,” wrote Kidman, 58, alongside a video of herself and Bullock walking together on the grass.

The first film follows the Owens sisters living with their aunts and using their magical powers to beat the challenges that come their way.

Practical Magic 2 is set to be released in theaters on Sept. 18, 2026.
