After news of the impending closure of beloved late-night food cart pod, Cartopia, came in May, at least one of the longtime residents has started preparing for the move. Owner of Pyro Pizza, John Eads, says he is opening a second cart at Tidbit Food Farm and Nursery, a new pod on SE 28th and Division slotted to open mid-August. Eads says they will continue serving pies at Cartopia until the lease ends on November 1 and then combine the two carts at the new location.

Food Carts Portland reported that Eads’ pizza cart will land among an impressive line-up at Tidbit with popular carts like Namu, Timber’s Doghouse, and Sushi PDX. Pyro Pizza briefly operated a second cart at the Central Eastside’s pod the Row, officially closing it “to re-think things” in April 2013. More updates to come on Cartopia’s cart relocations as we get them.
