Abstract

A collapsible buggy has a canopied carrier unit (4) that is convertible from a cot to a seat for the infant. The carrier is mounted on a U-shaped yoke (10) between the front legs (33) of the wheeled buggy-chassis (1), conversion from cot to seat involving manipulation of the head end (18) of the carrier unit (4) to form the seat with a rear pocket. Pulling out of lock-releasing knobs (12) then allows the carrier unit (4) to be swung within the chassis (1) about an offset pivotal axis (15) so as to move it forward before re-locking it with an inclined seating-attitude. The two arms (32) of a U-shaped handle (2) of the buggy are attached to blocks (5) which during erection of the buggy from the collapsed condition slide on the front legs (33) into abutment and latching together with respective blocks (31) that slide on the handle-arms (32) and are attached to the front legs (33).
