Be it known that I, WIL JAn 'l. ANDER- soN, a citizen of the United States of Amen ice, residing at Brooklyn. in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented new and useful improvements in' Bathing- Suits, 0! which the following is a. specified tion.
This invention relates to bathing or swimming suits the object of the invention being to provide it simple, practicable, and coinlortztble birthing-suit especially adapted to the needs of swimmers and (livers, the two parts or sections of which the suit is coinpuscd being so constructed and provided with fastening: devices that any separation between the two parts of the bathing-suit will be prevented and the suit as a whole coinh rtnblv and securely held in place relatively to each other and upon the person of the wearer.
With the above and other objects in view the invention consists in the novel construction, combination, and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, illustrated, and claimed.

Referring to the drawings, 1 designates the shirt or ersey, as it IS commonly called, the some being 0 iening 2 and armholes 3, while 4 designates t 10 trunks or trousers provided with thv usual leg portions gs, which may be of any delcngth, the several openings in the shirt and trunks being faced or bound in any con venient manner.
In carrying out the present invention the side portions of the jersev 0r shirt are cut away or founded out, as s town at 6, to pass comfortably over the hips,- thus leaving a centre? depending and rounded front portion 7, which extends downward well over the abdomen. Extending around the. upper edge of the trunks or trousers 4 is u belt or waistband 15.
