The primary object of the invention is the provision of a structure of this character, wherein an infant when attempting to walk can gain easy access thereto from a crawling position with safety, as it will not tip over, and when tired in the use thereof can crawl therefrom, the structure being freely mobile, so that the infant can move about with freedom when occupying the same and thereby quickly learning to walk.

Another object of the invention is the provision of a structure of this character, wherein it is devoid of any sharp or abrupt corners and by reason of the overall contour it will not damage furniture and the walls of an enclosure, nor is there a chance of injury to a user,

A further object of the invention is the provision of a structure of this character, which is simple in construction, thoroughly reliable and effective in its purpose, strong, durable, neat in appearance, readily and easily handled, and inexpensive to manufacture.

With these and other objects in view the invention consists in the features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which discloses the preferred and modified forms of construction thereof, and pointed out in the claim hereunto appended.

Referring to the drawing in detail, particularly Figures 1 to 3, inclusive, the structure involving the present invention, comprises a tubular body frame A, which is of endless construction and has bent therefrom a lower horizontal substantially U-shaped portion it), having swivel caster rollers ll, carried by side runs l2, while at the open end of this portion [0 and bent from the runs 12 are inwardly inclined or sloping risers l3.

Continued from the risers I3 is a horizontally disposed upper open yoke or loop M, to partially encircle the body of an infant and to afford a gripping handle for the latter when standing, after crawling into the frame A and rising to a standing position for walking purposes.

The bent points It of the frame A are rounded, to relieve sharp or abrupt corners throughout the same.

In Figures 4 and 5 of the drawing there is shown a slight modification of the invention, wherein tubular body frame B, which is identical to the frame A, has a sheet metal side walling l6 forming a fender throughout the frame B, excepting the open end thereto and this walling has at its edges ll curled inwardly about the frame for the securing of the latter and the fender together, as should be apparent.

What is claimed is:

A walking machine comprising a tubular body of endless construction bent to provide a lower horizontal substantially U-shaped portion, inwardly inclined risers at the open end of the U- shaped portion, and a horizontally-extending yoke extending from the upper and inner ends of the risers and substantially parallel to the horizontally-extending U-shaped portion, walling extending between the horizontally-extending portions and the inclined risers and having all of its outer edges curled inwardly about the same, the horizontal U-shaped portion having longitudinally spaced rollers ,to facilitate the movement of the walker over a floor, the sides of the yoke portion of the tubular body lying inwardly spaced from the sides of the horizontallyextending U-shaped portion.
