Abstract
A retractable tent has been presented herein. The retractable tent is designed for using with one or more sleep, work, or living space devices. The retractable tent may be extended from one position to another position according to usage preferences of a user. The retractable tent may be installed or arranged or fixed with one or more interior or exterior furniture such as a bed, a couch, a chair, a table, or the like. The retractable tent may be installed or arranged or fixed in various areas such as bedrooms, offices, living rooms, outdoor living areas, or the like. The retractable tent may be used as a home theater platform, a gaming platform, and a virtual reality platform. Further, the retractable tent may be facilitated or designed in different shapes such as a rectangular shape, a dome shape, a half-dome shape, or the like.
Description
- The present disclosure generally relates to a covering apparatus, and more particularly to a retractable tent. The retractable tent is designed for using with sleep, work, or living space devices. The retractable tent may be extended from one position to another position according to usage preferences of a user.
- Generally, a conventional tent includes one or more fixed frame structures, and one or more coverings mounted on the one or more frame structures. The one or more coverings are incorporated in a manner to define a fixed accommodating space. As such, the conventional tent cannot accommodate an article having a size larger than the fixed accommodating space, thereby lacking flexibility during use. Further, in many applications, it may be desirable to have a tent that can be easily extended and retracted, whilst at the same time, the extended and retracted tent must be strong enough to resist any external force. Also, these tents include fabric-covered structures that are a relatively common form of semi-permanent shelter or tent. Such structures typically can withstand moderate to severe weather conditions over extended periods of time. Fabric-covered frame tents are a prolific and popular form of temporary shelter. Such frame tents are easy to construct on generally even and horizontal or substantially horizontal surfaces. Frame tents can generally be erected and disassembled by unskilled persons and without specialized equipment. However, the assembly and disassembly of these conventional tents consume a lot of labor time that may not be desirable to many users. Further, such tents may not be used with indoor devices or furniture (such as sleep, work, or living space devices) on a long-term basis. It will highly be inconvenient for the users to assemble and disassemble these tents on a regular basis. In light of the above-mentioned background, there is a need for a technical solution that solves the above-mentioned problems and provides a tent that is retractable and expandable and easy to use, thereby saving the user's time.
- It will be understood that this disclosure is not limited to the particular retractable tent described herein, as there can be multiple possible embodiments of the present disclosure which are not expressly illustrated in the present disclosure.
