useful Improvements in. Toy Swinging (lb-airs, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
My invention relates to improvements in wheeled vehicles, adapted. for use asa toy, while not necessarily restricted to this use.
An important object otthe invention is to provide a wheeled vehicle, having 7 a swinging seat, suspended in a novel and attractive manner.
it 'lurther object of the invention is to provide a wheeled vehicle embodying a "frame adapted to be formed by the bending of a single strip of metal, such as a rod or wire.
A further object oi the invention "is to provide a device of the above mentioned character, which is simple in construction and cheap to manufacture.
Other objects and advantages of the invention will. be apparent during the course of the following description.

In the drawings, wherein for the purpose of illustration is shown a preferred embodiment of my invention, the numeral 5 designates the horizontal portion of the framework and 6 the vertical portion. This frame-work is formed by bending a rod or wire, for providing an upwardly extending tongue 7, carrying a handle 8 at its forward end. The rod or wire is bent at the point 9, forming a transverse portion 10, arranged at a right angle to the tongue 7. The rod or Wire is bent at 11, forming a longitudinal portion 12, which is bent at 13,

At the outer end of the axle 1d, the rod or wire is bent at; a right angle to form a longitudinal portion 21, and is again bent at 22, for providing a transverse portion 23. The free end of this transverse portion is passed beneath the tongue 7, forming a loop 24, and is then bent upwardly over the transverse portion 10, forming a loop 25. This is the preferred joint, but these parts may be united by otherwise suitably bending these parts together, or by connecting them by other suitable means.
The numeral 26 (ilesignates a transverse tie-wire or rod, having loops 27 at its ends, engaging about the lower ends of the vertical portions and of the upper or vertical frame portion 6. The function of the element 26 is to prevent spreading of the frame-work.
The numeral 28 designates a swinging seat, having a back 29.
The suspension means for the seat 28 embodies inverted V-shaped hangers 30, formed from sections ot'rod or wire, which are bent upon themselves and crossed, to provide eyes 31, pivotally receiving the loops 18. The lower ends of the hangers 30 are bent into eyes 32, for the reception of headed pins 38 or the like, engaging the seat 28.-
The numeral 3a designates wheels or rolling elements, shown as formed of wooden cylinders, while they may be of: any other suitable construction. These wheels have central openings to receive sleeve or bushings 35, rotatable upon the axles 1 1 and 14.
In the use of the device, it is drawn along by the tongue 7, while the seat 28 is adapted to swing longitudinally of the vehicle.
It is to be understood that the form of my invention herewith shown and described is to be taken as a preferred example of the same, and that various changes in the shape, size, and arrangement of parts may be re- PatentcdQTuly 13 1920.

, Having thus described my invention, I claim 1. A toy of the character described, comprising a substantially horizontal frame section and a substantially vertical frame section, said frame sections being bent from a single piece of wire, the ends of'the piece of wire being securedtogether at theforward end of the substantially horizontal frame section with one end extending forwardly to form atongue, the wire at the uniongof the horizontal and vertical frame sections being bent to form axles, Wheels mounted upon the axles, and a member suspended from'the substantially vertical frame section.
