T0011 whom it may concern! Be it known that I, FLORA E. KRAUCH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Indianapolis, in the county of Marion and State of Indiana, have invented a new and useful Garment-Support, of which the following is a specification.

The object of my invention is to produce a garment supporter of very simple character readily applicable to and removable from small babies, by means of which both the diaper and the stockings may be readily and firmly supported. I

In the drawings, 10 indicates a strap or web, preferably non-elastic, which is doubled on itself into a V-shaped fold 11, at

about-its middle with the ends overlapped at 12, one end being slightly longer than the other and provided on ltsunder face with a tab 13 in which a button-hole 14 is formed. A button 15 is then secured to the outerface of the shorter end of strap 10 in position to receive the button-hole tab 13.

16, 16 indicate two straps each of which is doubled upon its middle in a V-shaped fold, one end of each strap being carried upwardly and rearwardly and attached at 17 to one of the straps 10 near the fold 11; a cross strap 18 is then attached at the same points so asm form a flexible bridge between the' adjacent rear ends ofstraps 16. The forward ends of straps 16 are carried upwardly and forwardly each being attached to one end of the strap 10,0ne closely adjacent the button tab 13 and the other closely adjacent the button 15.- Attached to the V-shaped fold ll of strap 10.is a short piece of elastic webbing 18 and attached to the tip of the long end of-strap 10 is a'short piece of webbing 19. Each of the pieces of webbing 18 and 19 carry suitable fastening members 21 which are preferably in the form of lever clasps which may be firmly attached to the adjacent parts of the diaper 22. Attached to the V-sha ed fold of each strap 16 is a iece of'web ing, referably elastic, 23, to t e lower end of w ich is attached a fastener 24, preferably of the lever clasp type.

It will be noticed that by this simple arrangement of three straps each folded in a V-shape and attached together in the manner specified, I produceetfectively two diamond-shaped portions flexibly connected at the back of the child and attached to each other at the front by the single fastener 13'14'15 and that these two diamondshapedfigures, when applied to the child, substantially produce two loops diagonally arran ed in opposite directions across the shoul ers of the child so that the stockings are supported by these two diagonally arranged simple loops while the diaper is supported by the central structure formed by the strap 10 alone. It will also be noticed that by this arrangement the single fastener comes at the front of the child where it may not only be readily manipulated but also where it cannot possibly cause any hurt.

I claim as my invention:

A garment support of the class described, composed of three substantially V-shaped strap members, the apex of one of the Vs being designed to lie against the back of the wearer and the arms to overlie the shoulders of the wearer and meet in front; and each of the other two Vs having its apex defirst V, the point ofattachment of the rearwardly extending arm of each of the last named Vs to the arm of the first named V being above the apex of the first named V,

two garment supports 7 carried one by the apex of the first V and the other by the end of one arm of said V, two other garment supports one carried by each apex of the two" other Vs, and a single fastening comprising two cooperating separable members carried by the free ends of the first mentioned V.
