Description

Male urine collection device

The present invention relates to a male urine collection device, in particular a urine bag device that can be attached to the penis.

For uncontrolled urine, such as urine testing for infants or bedridden people, or urine leakage from patients with urinary incontinence, it is difficult to collect urine immediately after it is released, which often causes contamination of clothing and mattresses, causing embarrassment to the person concerned or the collector.

Although there are several solutions for collecting urine in the prior art, such as catheters of various calibers, adhesive urine collection bags for children, or urine collection sleeves for men, the urine collection devices used in these prior arts still have many defects, such as the insertion pain and infection risk of indwelling invasive catheters to divert urine into urine bags, as well as leakage and accidental separation of the devices, which are also known problems in the art.

In view of the above problems, the present invention provides a male urine collection device that is easy to stick to the human body, not easy to fall off, and can collect urine without leakage and pollution.

To achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the present invention provides a male urine collection device, comprising: a bag body, which is composed of a first side wall and a second side wall, and has two closed side edges and a bottom edge, and the open end of the bag body has a bag opening, forming a urine bag with an opening; two adhesive layers, which are respectively arranged on the opposite surfaces of the first side wall and the second side wall adjacent to the bag opening; a release layer, which covers at least a portion of the adhesive layer.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the adhesive layer is a strip sheet as a substrate, one surface of the strip sheet is coated or adhered with the adhesive layer, and the other surface is connected to the inner surface of the first side wall or the inner surface of the second side wall adjacent to the bag opening in a manner approximately parallel to the bag opening, and the connection is welded or bonded to a strip area, and there is a distance between the lower edge of the strip area and the lower edge of the strip sheet.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, it further includes a structural support unit extending along the edge of the strip sheet.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the bag body is in the shape of an elongated strip, and the two side edges of the bag body can be close to the long symmetric axis of the bag body, forming a dumb-bell-shaped or hourglass-shaped bag body that is small at the top and large at the bottom and narrow in the middle.

The specific implementation of the present invention is described below with reference to the drawings, wherein the same or similar components are represented by the same element symbols.

FIG1 is an embodiment of the present invention. The male urine collection device 10 includes a bag body 11, which is composed of a first side wall 111 and a second side wall 112, and has two closed side edges 12 and a bottom edge 13. The open end of the bag body 11 has a bag opening 14, thereby forming a urine bag with an opening, which can be used to store urine; the upper edge of the first side wall 111 and the upper edge of the second side wall 112 can be aligned with each other (but not limited to this). ; two adhesive layers 15, respectively disposed on the opposite surfaces of the first side wall 111 and the second side wall 112 adjacent to the bag opening 14, for adhering to the user's penis so that the male urine collection device 10 is fixed to the penis; a release layer 16, which covers at least a portion of the adhesive layer 15 to prevent the adhesive layer 15 from losing its adhesiveness due to contamination before use, and the release layer 16 can be, for example, a release paper. FIG. 2 is a front view of the male urine collection device 10, in which the bag body 11 is adhered to the user's penis by the adhesive layer 15 to facilitate urine collection (the dotted line in the figure indicates that the adhesive layer 15 is disposed on the inner surface of the side wall). FIG3 is a cross-sectional view of FIG2 . During use, the release layer 16 is separated and peeled off, exposing the adhesive layer 15 on the inner surface of the bag opening 14. The user further inserts the penis through the bag opening 14 into the bag body 11. The two adhesive layers 15 adhere to the upper and lower sides of the user's penis respectively. Then, the exposed adhesive layers 15 on both sides of the penis are bonded to each other, so that the bag opening 14 is tightly sealed and leak-proof. The first side wall 111 and the second side wall 112 can be soft sheets in their natural state, such as but not limited to polyurethane (PU), polyethylene (PE), or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films, preferably waterproof sheets such as thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) films, preferably elastic materials, but inelastic materials can also be used, and the thickness is preferably not more than 0.1 mm.

Figures 4A to 4D are another embodiment of the present invention, wherein Figure 4B and Figure 4C are horizontal and vertical cross-sectional views of Figure 4A, respectively. The adhesive layer 15 (not shown in the figure) of the male urine collection device 10 is based on a strip sheet 151, one surface of which is coated or adhered to the adhesive layer 15, and the other surface is connected to the inner surface of the first side wall 111 or the inner surface of the second side wall 112 adjacent to the bag opening 14 in a manner approximately parallel to the bag opening 14, and the connection is welded or bonded to a strip area 152, and there is a distance between the lower edge of the strip area 152 and the lower edge of the strip sheet 151. The male urine collection device 10 may further include a structure maintaining unit 17 (as shown in FIG. 4D ), which is extended to the edge of the strip sheet 151, just like a frame is provided on the strip sheet 151 to maintain its edge shape before bonding to avoid wrinkles. The user can remove the structure maintaining unit 17 after bonding. The present invention further includes at least one drainage tube 30, which is connected to the first side wall 111 or the second side wall 112 of the bag body 11, so that the interior of the bag body 11 can communicate with the exterior of the bag body 11 through the drainage tube 30. In this embodiment, the drainage tube 30 is formed by extending the first side wall 111, the second side wall 112, and the side edge 12, and the end of the drainage tube 30 is an open structure. The component material of the adhesive layer 15 may include, for example, a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The strip sheet 151 adheres to the user's skin through the adhesive layer 15 and therefore needs to have better air permeability. A microporous film may be used, such as but not limited to a highly air/moisture permeable polyurethane (PU), polyethylene (PE), or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film. The thickness is preferably less than 0.1 mm, more preferably less than 0.05 mm, and most preferably less than 0.03 mm. The air permeability is preferably a water vapor transmission rate (MVTR) greater than or equal to 500 g/(m ² .24h), and the moisture permeability after coating is preferably greater than or equal to 1000 g/(m ² .24h). Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4D , when the bag is filled with urine, the hydraulic pressure will be guided to the lower edge of the band region 152 where the strip sheet 151 is connected to the first side wall 111 (or the second side wall 112), which can effectively reduce the probability of urine leaking out from the edge of the bag opening 14. The strip sheet 151 and the first side wall 111 (or the second side wall 112) can be connected by, for example, but not limited to, solvents, adhesives, tapes, or adhesive films, or can be melted and bonded by, for example, but not limited to, electric heating, ultrasound, or high frequency.

5A and 5B are another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 5A , the release layer 16 does not cover the portion of the adhesive layer 15 adjacent to the side edge 12 , so that the two side walls adjacent to the side edge 12 are bonded to each other through the adhesive layer 15 , and the open portion of the adhesive layer 15 that is not bonded to each other forms the opening of the bag body 11 . In this embodiment, the first side wall 111 (or the second side wall 112) has at least one drainage port 18, and the drainage tube 30 is arranged corresponding to the drainage port 18, wherein one end of the drainage tube 30 has a cap edge portion that is roughly perpendicular to the axis of the drainage tube 30 and is arranged around it, and the cap edge portion is connected to the first side wall 111 (or the second side wall 112), thereby improving the tightness and reliability of the connection between the drainage tube 30 and the first side wall 111. As shown in FIG. 5B , the release layer 16 is arranged around the inner surface of the opening. The user can first place the penis into the bag body 11 and then remove the release layer 16 to prevent the bag opening 14 from wrinkling and causing leakage when the adhesive layer 15 is attached to the penis.

6A to 6C are another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 6B is a cross-sectional view of the bag opening 14 of FIG. 6A. The male urine collection device 10 further comprises a heat-sealed area 19, which has a width and is disposed at the bag opening 14 adjacent to the side edge 12. The heat-sealed area 19 includes a portion of the adhesive layer 15 (i.e., the portion of the adhesive layer 15 adjacent to the side edge 12), a portion of the two side walls, and a portion of the side edge 12 to prevent urine from leaking from the gap between the adhesive layer 15 and the side edge 12 and the two side walls. The heat-sealed area 19 may further extend to the bag opening 14 or the bottom edge 13. In this embodiment, the bottom edge 13 (or the side edge 12) has an open portion, and the drainage tube 30 is sandwiched between the first side wall 111 and the second side wall 112 to pass through the open portion. In addition to being a tubular object, the drainage tube 30 can also be formed by combining the two side edges of two drainage tube sheets 31 (as shown in FIG. 6C ), wherein an isolation material is provided on one of the opposite inner surfaces of the drainage tube 30 to prevent the inner surfaces other than the two side edges of the drainage tube sheet 31 from being welded to each other due to heat during the manufacturing process and thus blocking the flow of the fluid. The isolation material is provided by sandwiching, coating or printing before the drainage tube 30 is formed. The present invention may further include a check structure, which is extended to the drainage port 18 or the drainage tube 30 to prevent urine from flowing back into the bag body 11.

FIG. 7A and FIG. 7B are another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 7A (please also refer to FIG. 6A), the drainage tube 30 is further connected to a storage bag 40, and urine can flow from the bag body 11 through the drainage tube 30 to the storage bag 40 for storage. The storage bag 40 can also be further connected to a second drainage tube 33 so that body fluids can be discharged in a timely manner. As shown in FIG. 7B, the two side edges 12 of the long strip bag body 11 can approach the long symmetric axis of the bag body 11 to form a dumb bell-shaped (or hourglass-shaped) bag body 11 that is small at the top and large at the bottom and narrowed in the middle, which can reduce urine retention near the bag opening 14.

FIG8A and FIG8B are another embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG8A , one embodiment of the male urine collection device 10 of the present invention is to further set a strap 50 on the bag body 11, so that a fixing rope or a fixing belt passes through the strap channel formed between the strap 50 and the bag body 11 to fix the bag body 11 to a body part of the user, preferably the user's leg. In order to allow the user to choose different fixing positions, a plurality of straps 50 can be set on the bag body 11. As shown in FIG8A , when the bag body 11 is set in a manner substantially parallel to the legs, a plurality of straps 50 can be set in the vertical direction, which can not only improve the stability of the bag body 11, but also allow the user to choose to pass through the strap channels at different positions to adjust the best fixing method. The method of forming the strap 50 may be, for example, using a strap sheet 51, and combining it with the first side wall 111 or the second side wall 112 of the bag body 11 by welding or bonding (but not limited thereto). For example, as shown in FIG8A, when the strap sheet 51 is rectangular, it may be combined with the bag body 11 at two opposite sides of the rectangle, or at more than two points within the rectangular range. Or, as shown in FIG8B, a long strip strap sheet 51 is used, and the long strip strap sheet 51 is combined with the bag body 11 at more than three positions along its long side direction, thereby forming a plurality of strap channels. A buckle hole 52 may be further processed on the strap sheet 51 at the position corresponding to each strap channel, and the buckle on the fixing belt may be used to prevent the bag body 11 from sliding along the fixing rope or fixing belt.

One embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 9 . A portion of the cut piece of the first side wall 111 extends outward to form an extension portion 1111. The extension portion 1111 is folded back and its edge is connected to the first side wall 111 to form a buckle. When in use, the second side wall 112 faces the user, and a fixing rope or fixing belt is passed through the buckle to fix it around the user's waist, which can effectively support the increasing weight of urine in the bag body 11 to prevent the urine bag from falling off.

Claims (14)

A male urine collection device comprises: a bag body, which is composed of a first side wall and a second side wall and has two closed side edges and a bottom edge, and the open end of the bag body has a bag opening to form a urine bag with an opening; two adhesive layers, which are respectively arranged on the opposite surfaces of the first side wall and the second side wall adjacent to the bag opening; and a release layer, which covers at least a portion of the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is based on a strip sheet, one surface of the strip sheet is coated or adhered with the adhesive layer, and the other surface is connected to the inner surface of the first side wall or the inner surface of the second side wall adjacent to the bag opening in a manner approximately parallel to the bag opening, and the connection is welded or bonded to a strip area, and there is a distance between the lower edge of the strip area and the lower edge of the strip sheet. The male urine collection device of claim 1 further comprises a structural support unit extending along the edge of the strip sheet. As in claim 1, the male urine collection device, wherein the bag body is in the shape of an elongated strip, and the two side edges of the bag body are close to the long symmetric axis of the bag body, forming a dumb-bell or hourglass-shaped bag body that is small at the top and large at the bottom and narrow in the middle. A male urine collection device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the release layer does not cover the portion of the adhesive layer adjacent to the side edge, so that the two side walls adjacent to the side edge are bonded to each other through the adhesive layer, and the open portion of the adhesive layer that is not bonded to each other forms the opening of the bag body. A male urine collection device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the release layer is arranged to surround the inner surface of the opening. The male urine collection device of any one of claims 1 to 3 further comprises a heat-sealed area having a width and disposed at the bag opening adjacent to the side edge, the heat-sealed area comprising a portion of the adhesive layer, a portion of the two side walls, and a portion of the side edge, and the heat-sealed area may extend to the bag opening or the bottom edge. The male urine collection device of any one of claims 1 to 3 further comprises at least one drainage tube, the drainage tube being connected to the first side wall or the second side wall of the bag body so that the interior of the bag body can communicate with the exterior of the bag body through the drainage tube, and the drainage tube is arranged in such a manner that: the drainage tube is formed by the extension of the first side wall, the second side wall, and the side edge; the side edge or the bottom edge The drainage tube has an open portion, and the drainage tube passes through the open portion and is sandwiched between the first side wall and the second side wall; the first side wall or the second side wall has at least one drainage port, and the drainage tube is arranged corresponding to the drainage port, wherein one end of the drainage tube has a cap edge portion that is substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of the drainage tube and is arranged around the cap edge portion, and the cap edge portion is connected to the first side wall or the second side wall. As in claim 7, the male urine collection device, wherein the drainage tube is composed of two drainage tube sheets. As in claim 7, the male urine collection device, wherein a separation material is provided on the inner surface of the drainage tube, and the separation material is provided by clamping, coating or printing before the drainage tube is formed. The male urine collection device of claim 7 further comprises a check structure extending from the drainage tube to prevent urine from flowing back into the bag. The male urine collection device as claimed in claim 7 further comprises a storage bag connected to the drainage tube. The male urine collection device of claim 7 further comprises a check structure extending from the drainage port to prevent urine from flowing back into the bag. The male urine collection device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3 further comprises a strap sheet, which is connected to the first side wall or the second side wall to form a channel for a fixing belt to pass through. A male urine collection device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the first side wall has an extension.
