Abstract

A supporting device for disabled persons has an arm 1 which is mounted in a vertical rail 4 such that it can be raised and lowered. The vertical position can be fixed by means of a locking member 7. When the arm is in a dropped horizontal position, the stop screws 11 of the locking member can be unscrewed, whilst the assumed vertical position of the arm is retained owing to the force which is applied to the outer side of the rail by means of the lug 12 and to the inner side of the rail by the front edges of the arms 9 of the locking member. <IMAGE>
