Abstract

The invention relates to the field of equipment used to perform muscle-strengthening and rehabilitation exercises. The invention is an exoskeleton formed by two independent multi-articular modules that work in conjunction with one another. The upper module consists of a rigid support that rests on the user's shoulders and that includes a chain of articulated rigid segments on each side, extending parallel to the user's upper limbs. The lower module consists of a rigid belt that surrounds the user's pelvic area and that has a chain of articulated rigid segments anchored on each side, extending parallel to each of the user's lower limbs. The two modules are connected in the user's abdominal area at four attachment points, each being anchored to a unidirectional movement device. The articulations of the exoskeleton are formed by a friction braking system that generates resistance in both directions of the articulation movement plane, which can be adjusted using a knob. The exoskeleton ha s 24 degrees of freedom of movement: 6 on the shoulders, 2 on the elbows, 2 on the forearms, 4 on the spinal column, 4 on the hips, 2 on the knees, 4 on the ankles.
