Abstract

Además, se proporciona un sistema de propulsión o hidroaleta que incluye este sistema de caja de engranajes y una embarcación flotante que incluye este sistema de hidroaleta.The present invention relates to a gearbox system for mounting on a floating vessel with a hydrofoil, the gearbox system comprising: a housing having an interior surface defining an interior space of defined dimension; a gear system comprising a propeller shaft clutch portion, the gear system being located within the interior of the housing; and a motor located within the interior space of the housing and in mechanical communication with the gearbox; wherein the housing is water tight and wherein the gear system and motor are in thermal contact with the interior surface of the housing. Additionally, a propulsion or hydrofin system including this gearbox system and a floating vessel including this hydrofin system are provided.
