Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a portable toilet, and more particularly to a portable toilet that can be folded and carried and can also be used as a portable chair.

Patent Literature 1 discloses a box-type simple toilet in which a four-sided outer box frame and a four-sided inner box frame folded into a plate shape are opened, and the four-sided inner box frame is inserted through the opening of the four-sided outer box frame to form a six-sided box-type simple toilet having a plastic bag insertion opening with a paper toilet seat, and the plastic bag toilet with a paper toilet seat is inserted through the plastic bag insertion opening. Patent Literature 2 discloses a simple toilet including a base part that is a star-shaped polygon when viewed from above, and a toilet seat part that is placed on the base part and has an opening in the center.

However, the portable toilets described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 are prefabricated, and require time and effort to assemble before they can be used. In addition, the toilets are relatively large and cannot be carried around, and are expected to be installed in a specified location for use.

On the other hand, in the event of a disaster such as an earthquake, it is expected that many people will be unable to return home, and many of them will have to walk home. A common and serious issue for these people is the lack of toilets, and a simple solution is eagerly awaited.

The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a simple toilet that does not require assembly time or installation space, is portable, can be used at any time, and can also be used as a chair, and is suitable for stockpiling in preparation for the occurrence of a disaster in which there is a risk of a large number of people being unable to return home.

The above object of the present invention is achieved by the following configuration.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, one embodiment of the portable toilet according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the portable toilet 10 of this embodiment includes a folding chair 20 and a bag body 30 .

The folding chair 20 comprises legs 21 and a seat 22. A pair of frames 23, 23 are connected to the legs 21 so as to be openable and closable in a generally X-shape when viewed from the side. Each frame 23 is formed, for example, by bending a metal pipe member into a generally U-shape and has an upper edge 24 and support parts 25 bent from both ends of the upper edge 24 in a generally right-angled direction.

A support shaft 26 is inserted into a through hole (not shown) formed in the center of the length direction (height direction) of each support part 25. As a result, the pair of frames 23, 23 are connected to each other in an openable and closable X-shape in a side view around the support shaft 26.

The seat portion 22 is a belt-like member such as a cloth stretched across upper edge portions 24 of a pair of frames 23, 23. Both ends of the belt-like seat portion 22 are wrapped around the respective upper edge portions 24 and folded back into a U-shape, and are sewn to the seat portion 22 at the base portions of the upper edge portions 24 to form a pipe shape. A large through-hole 27 is formed in the center of the seat portion 22, in other words, in the part that will be under the buttocks when a person is seated.

The seat portion 22 is strong enough to withstand the weight of a person sitting on it, and is desirably made of a non-absorbent cloth, such as a nylon cloth.

As a result, the folding chair 20 rotates the pair of frames 23, 23 around the support shaft 26 and closes them so that they overlap each other, and the seat section 22 also folds into a roughly plate-like shape, resulting in a compact shape that is easy to carry. Furthermore, since the folding chair 20 is folded into a roughly plate-like shape, it is easy to store and stow, and a large number of them can be stored in a small storage space.

In addition, the folding chair 20 can be easily transformed in a short time into a usable state, i.e., into a form in which a person can sit, by opening the pair of frames 23, 23 about the support shaft 26 in a roughly X-shape as viewed from the side.

The bag 30 is a synthetic resin bag in which a lower end 32 of a tube 31 made of a water-resistant synthetic resin such as vinyl is sealed by heat welding, and an opening 33 is provided at the upper end. From a hygienic standpoint, it is preferable to store in the bag 30 an absorbent material 34 capable of absorbing moisture, such as powder of a highly absorbent polymer, a coagulant for solidifying excrement, a deodorant, or the like.

The portable toilet 10 constructed as described above can be stored in large quantities in a small storage space in preparation for disasters such as earthquakes by closing the pair of frames 23, 23 into a roughly plate-like shape. In addition, because it is compact and lightweight, it can be carried by people who are unable to return home on foot due to traffic disruptions caused by a disaster in preparation for emergencies.

When the portable toilet 10 is to be used, as shown in FIG. 1, first, the pair of frames 23, 23 are opened about the support shaft 26 in a generally X-shape when viewed from the side, and the folded sheet portion 22 is unfolded into a strip shape.

Next, the lower end portion 32 of the bag body 30 is inserted from above downward into the through hole 27 of the sheet portion 22, and is then pushed open below the through hole 27. After that, the opening portion 33 of the bag body 30 is opened above the through hole 27, and the open portion is used to cover the entire upper surface of the sheet portion 22.

A user can easily excrete by sitting on the bag 30 with the opening 33 open. After use, the bag 30 can be disposed of hygienically by closing the opening 33 of the bag 30 and discarding it without affecting the surroundings.

As described above, according to the portable toilet 10 of this embodiment, the folding chair 20 can be folded into a roughly plate-like shape, so that it can be easily stored and stored in large quantities in a small storage space, and is suitable for stockpiling in preparation for disasters. In addition, by opening the pair of frames 23, 23 into a roughly X-shape when viewed from the side, it can be quickly and easily transformed into a usable state and used as the chair 20 and the portable toilet 10.

A foldable chair comprising a pair of frames formed in a substantially U-shape or a substantially L-shape, the legs being connected so as to be openable and closable in a substantially X-shape when viewed from the side, and a belt-shaped seat part having a through hole formed in the center and stretched between upper edges of the pair of frames;
A water-resistant bag body, the opening side of which covers the upper surface of the seat portion, the closing side of which is inserted into the through hole, and the bag body is set on the chair in an expanded state below the through hole;
