Abstract
422,258. Clockwork escapements. COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DE MECANIQUE HORLOGERE, 18, Boulevard Malesherbes, Paris. April 3, 1934, No. 10137. Convention date, April 3, 1933. [Class 139] In an escapement the pallet pins 18 are of U-shape, one limb 181 of each U being fixed to an arm 11 rigid with the balance or oscillated thereby, and the other, free limb 18<2> coacting with the scape wheel 10 so that the bent portion 183 between the two limbs of each U gives a resilient transmission. In a lever escapement the impulse pin 13<3> on the balance 14 is also U-shaped, one limb 13<1> being fixed to the balance and the other 13<2> coacting with the forked end 121, 12<2> of the scape lever 12. The limb 13<2> passes freely through a hole 16 in the balance. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the following constructions. The anchor consists of duplicated anchors 11<1>, 11<2>, Figs. 3 (Cancelled) and 5 (Cancelled), and each pallet pin 20<1> is fixed in the lower member 11<1> and set in a rubber bush 21 in the upper member. The lower end of the pin may also be bushed in rubber 21<2>. The scape wheel 10 may coact with the upper free end of the pins, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), or with their central portions, Fig. 5 (Cancelled). The pallet pins may be cranked, Fig. 7 (Cancelled), or reduced in thickness, Fig. 8 (Cancelled), above the anchor 11<2> or may be reduced, Fig. 9 (Cancelled), between parts 11<1>, 11<2>. The impulse pin on the balance which coacts with the forked end of the scape lever is similarly set in rubber. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
