Description
AN ATTACHABLE/DETACHABLE PORTABLE SHOPPING LIST
This invention relates to a an Attachable/Detachable
Portable SHOPPING LIST.
Portable Shopping Lists are well known and usually consist of aids to memory such as drawings, sketches, ,cons and/or facilities for writing down the names and/or the descriptions of the items to be purchased. These aids may be contained in hard-cover book form, soft-cover book form, note-book form, loose-leaf binders or loose leaf sheets of paper, and so on.
These aids may be made from paper, wood, plastic and/or other materials and packaged in such a way that a package may or may not be sufficiently small to fit into the pockets. purses. hand-bags, shopping bags, shopping baskets and so on. of tne shopper.
Shopping Lists are usually free standing.
shopping Lists are used mainly to list items which the shopper wishes to or intends to b Ihese Shopping Lists are normally carried by the shopper to the shops and/or stores and these lists are then used as aids to memory during the acts of shopping
The use of such artefacts tools and other aids in the practice of shopping have not become an integral part of shopping activities in all modern societies, but the use of
Shopping Lists is widely adopted.
However, shoppers are handicapped in their ability to effectively use Shopping Lists, mark off the items purchased while continuing to maintain manipulation in some cases of the shopping trollies. In addition, in some cases.the shopper has to manipulate and read from and mark off items on the Shopping List while maintaining the supervision and appropriate discipline of young children.
This handicap results from constraints of having a portable
Shopping List which is usually hand-held.
This invention design a Portable Attachable/Detachable j-ho,orina List in the form of a hard-cover Note-Book with internals suitable to contain lists @ shopping as desired 5 the shopper, but with an attachment facility which can be used to attach the Note-Book to the Shopping Trolley in such a way that it leaves the shopper free to manipulate the pping Trolley maintain discipline on the children @ ary tur@ @@ @@ @es of @ shopping Lists as appropriate, to mark off the items purchased, update the Shopping Lists and price-lists, if so required.
The Attachable/Detachable Shopping List is sufficiently portable to allow the user to have an easy and readily available access to taking the facility to the shop, the store and/or any other point of use. The
Attachable/Detachable Shopping List may be carried by the shopper in the hand, the pocket, hand-bag, purse, and/or shopping bag.
This device is in two (2) parts, a Hard Cover or Housing and Infills which list the items for shopping. Such features are specific and not necessarily essential to this invention.
This device is oblong in shape although such a feature is specific arid not necessari y essential to this invention.
in fact the shape may be round square. cylindrical.

which can be used for the Shopping Lists.
In the first place, the first part (Figures 1A and 1B) acts as a cover, Holder or Housing to that part which forms the
Shopping Lists and which are described in Figure 2.
In the second place, the first part has a facility as depicted in Figures 1A and 1B, to allow this part to be attached to a shopping trolley or similar, or attached to any other body as appropriate or as may be used during or in preparation of a shopping activity.
The second part, the Shopping Lists, Figure 2 is fitted inside the first part, the main body which acts like a
Holder. Housing and/or Hard-Cover, and as depicted in
Figures 1A and 1B.
This second part which is not necessarily essential to the invention, may be a single page, single leaf, multi-page or multi-leaf. The page(s) and/or leaf/leaves may be left blank or may be pre-printed with the sectioned off with pre-printed items or classification of items to be purchased.
Thi- econd part may a attached t the first part by any method. for example. by using binders ips. pins. screw @uts d @lts. elastic bands and @@ A specific but not necessarily essential method of attaching the first part' to the second part' in this invention is to have holes in the second part through which the clips or binders in the first part, as shown in Figures 1A and 1B, may be inserted, closed and secured.
It is an essential feature of this invention that the first part can be attached to a Shopping Trolley or similar, or to some other body so that the shopper is left free to perform tasks other than holding, lifting, putting down, or in other ways handling the Shopping List at the expense of, exclusion and/or inconvenience of reading, marking off, checking, updating, or otherwise controlling the Shopping
List. The device has the specific facility to be attached to or detached from another device. for example, a Shopping
Trolley.
A specific but not necessarily essential feature of this invention is that the facility to enable the first part to be attached to the Shopping Trolley or similar is as shown in Fire lA and '.

The strap must be of sufficient length to encircle a strut or other member of the shopping trolley or other body to which it is to be attached, with enough lenqth left over,
part of which a velcro or similar adhesive surface is attached.
On the main body, that is, the first part, just next to the point of attachment of the strap, a section of the surface of the main body is so designed that a non-slip surface is either built-in. moulded, pinned on, clipped on.

In addition, a sufficient length of the strap is left over after the non-slip surface and the velcro surface to allow for a finger grip to work the strap on and off as required.
That is, to allow for the device to be worked on and off, to be attached and detached.
Another specific but not necessarily essential feature of this device is that the main body, that is, the first part, which act as an enclosure, cover or housing to the
Shopping Lists, may be folded over and closed in such a way to form a closed book, thus offering some protection and privacy t the Shopping Lists as shown in Figures 1A.
Other items which may be included as in-fills' in the cover or ousina are note-paper. calender. writing implement. electronic arjd/or mechanical calculators.
