An anti-sore bed to relieve pressure exerted on a patient is provided comprising a plurality of segments (2, 3) which are divided into two sets, each set being comprised of alternate segments (2 or 3) and the two sets being movable with respect to one another so that the patient (5) may be supported alternately on each set of segments (2, 3). <IMAGE>
