Abstract

183,181. Myers, W. March 15, 1921. Telescopic and expanding bedsteads.-The foldable side wings or platform wings A which are hinged to the sides of the bedstead are also hinged at G<1> to the head and foot pieces G, H, and these end members are secured by fastening-means I to the end frames of the bedstead when the parts are in the extended position. The members A may be each in two parts, as shown, and the legs C at each end are connected by a cross-piece which holds the legs in the vertical position, or permits them to be folded against the wings when the bed extensions are folded down.
