Abstract

Litters.-In a combined bed-rest, lounge chair, and stretcher, of the kind having pivoted back and leg rests, together with a transverse support for the buttocks, the said transverse support 4 is made of detachable flexible material, while the pivots of the back-rest 6 are made longitudinally adjustable in slots 7<a>. Folding legs 2 are provided, and the arm-rests may consist of members 10, 12 pivoted to the back-rest at 11 and adjustably pivoted to the side frame 1 at 12<a>. The device may be used as a stretcher by providing handles 21, or by using the folded legs as carrying handles.
