Abstract

1404930 Wheelchairs W & F BARRETT Ltd 9 Nov 1972 [25 Nov 1971] 54743/71 Heading B7B In a wheelchair footrest bracket a leg 2 having a hinged footrest (not shown) at its lower end is axially movable in a mounting 10 and may be rotated between two limit positions into either of which the leg may be locked. In a preferred embodiment the leg 2 which is tubular has an aperture 14 for register with opposed apertures 12 in the tubular caster mounting 10. A pin 17 of a spring biased catch 16 engages with the apertures in the two positions of the leg 2. A tapered end piece 18 on the leg 6 is received in a socket 22 secured within the mounting 10 to further locate the leg 2 in the required position. (For Figure see next column.)
