Abstract

Steering, balancing, and regulating altitude. - The control lever, or one or both levers in dual control, is divided into two parts 1, 2, which can be locked together or released by a sliding sleeve 3 operated by a Bowden wire 4, &c. A spring 7 may be provided to restore the sleeve 3, and also a spring 10 between the parts 1, 2. The upper end of the sleeve may be cup-shaped and the meeting ends of the parts 1, 2 rounded. The part 1 carries either a bolt, a bolt with a rod attached, or a ring 12 with a pin 11 for connexion to the spring 10, the lower end of which is attached to a pin 13 carried either by an external ring 8 or by lugs on an internal ring. The part 2 may have at its lower end an internal ring of rounded section to guide the spring 10.
