Abstract

1,189,434. Thigh guard. N. W. STEPHENS. 16 Aug., 1968 [1 July, 1968], No. 31269/68. Heading A3V. A thigh guard comprises a flexible gaiter 1, means 2, 3, 4, 6 for securing it upon the thigh and a protective facing pad 10 of hard material. The facing pad 10 is preferably made of stainless steel and is secured by rivets 9 to the gaiter preferably made of leather. Through the slot 5, at the top of the gaiter, passes one end of an adjustable webbing strap 6 which has a stitched in loop 7 and a buckle 8. The loop 7 is intended to be transversed by a trouser belt. The guard may be tapered for a comfortable fit.
