Abstract

Compositions suitable for sealing gaskets of container closures comprise polyethylene, butyl rubber and an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer. The compositions may also comprise fillers, pigments, slip agents, blowing agents, cork particles, resins and rust inhibitors, e.g. titanium dioxide, carbon black, azobiscarbonamide, calcium carbonate, barytes, clay, silicones, waxes, rosin, rosin esters, terpene resins and sodium benzoate.
