Abstract

A flat support (1) with a clamp (2, 3, 4) for a note pad and a pencil holder (9) has a retractable metal tongue (5) in its under-surface, shaped to unlock a supermarket trolley. The support is made from a lightweight material, e.g. a plastic; the tongue is made from aluminium or stainless steel. During use the tongue is held in the trolley lock with the support resting on the handle, and when not in use a magnet (8) allows the support to be attached to any metal surface, such as a refrigerator or microwave oven.
