Abstract

The device consists of a tripod (1) whose feet have manual adjusting jacks (A). The tripod is welded to a vertical sleeve (2) in which slides another sleeve (6). The clamping of these sleeves is by a hand screw (B). Attached to the top of the sleeve is another sleeve (7) in which slides a threaded shaft (8) whose height can be adjusted by a hand screw (C) and clamped by a another screw (D). Attached to the shaft is a fork end (9) to which is pin jointed a horizontal beam (11). This beam can be adjusted slightly in the horizontal plane by screw jacks (E). Attached to this beam by vertical plates (12) is a triangular tube (13) which can rotate about its horizontal axis and can be locked with any of its flat faces uppermost by means of a locating pin (H) and a locking screw (F). On each of these faces is a roller (15), a series of balls (16), or else it is left plain. USE - For an adjustable work surface handling long pieces of mateiral that has freedom of movement in one or two horizontal plains.
