Abstract

The pushchair frame includes a pair of inclined side members connected by articulated crossbar assemblies consisting of two arms which may be locked by a catch an end extension (21) beyond the pivot point (18) which connects it to the second arm (16). A stirrup-type lever (24) is pivotally connected (25) to the second arm. The end portion (26) engages the end of the first arm, in the use position, to secure the arms together. An elastic member (27) attached to the stirrup biasses it into this position. ADVANTAGE - Simple activation and release by user's foot.
