Abstract

The invention relates to a device making it possible for a handicapped person in a wheelchair to gain access to a seat of a motor vehicle by adjusting the height of said seat to that of his/her wheelchair and then to a height which is suitable for driving. It consists of two frames sliding with respect to one another. The frame 1 is firmly attached to the vehicle, the other frame 3 is firmly attached to the seat 5 and slides along the frame 1 on its arms 2, under the control of a jack 4. The frame 1 can be fastened to a rotating base 6 itself fastened to slides 7, making it possible to adjust the seat in terms of length, rotation and height.
