Abstract

EACH SIDE WALL 37 IS ASSOCIATED WITH A BODY 72 CONNECTING THE BACKREST 36 TO THE LATERAL WALL 37 FOR ALLOW BACKREST 36 TO TAKE DIFFERENT ANGULAR POSITIONS.

Description

Stroller with: reclining seat.

  The Present: vention concerns a stroller with reclining backrest. The object of the invention is to make a backrest stroller incl sand of simple construction, of a reduced production cost and allowing the inclination of the

record by simple means.

  This object is achieved according to the invention thanks to a push

  reclining backrest, characterized in that it

  comprises a frame and a seat comprising said back

  In Figures 1 and 2, the reference 1 designates as a whole a stroller comprising a frame 2

  of the type whose size can be reduced. The ossa-

  ture 2 includes two metal uprights 3 parallel

  between them and forming an acute angle with the plane of ap-

  well. The uprights 3 each have one end

  lower 4 which supports two front wheels 5. The

  tants 3 are hollow internally and each have

  an upper end housed inside a man-

  chon 6. Inside each upright 3 is housed the lower portion of a metal bar 7 having an upper end housed in a handle 8. The bar 7 can move axially so as to leave the user free to put the handles 8 at the desired height. The sleeve 6 supports a lever 11 by means of which it is possible to fix the bar 7 to the upright 3 associated with the desired height. Frame 2

  further includes two metal uprights 12 parall! -

  them together and forming an acute angle with the plane

  support. The uprights 12 each have an extremi-

  lower tee supporting two rear wheels 13. A post 3 is associated with each post 12, each post 12

  being articulated by an upper portion on a

  rillon 14 on which the associated upright 3 is articulated by an intermediate portion so as to define a cross conformation. At the lower end of each upright 12 is fixed a lever 15 of known type, suitable for blocking, when actuated, the rotation

rear wheels 13.

  The frame 2 includes two metal bars 16 available

  cross-shaped, articulated by an intermediate portion

  re on the same pin 17. Each bar 16 is articulated

  abutment by a lower end to one of the uprights

  12 on a lower portion of the latter and is ar-

  ticulated by an upper end to a stirrup 18 articulated to a pin 19 supported by an appendage of a sleeve 21 which can slide along the upright 3 articulated to the other upright 12. The sleeve 21 has a notch laterally and at its lower part 21 suitable for receiving a pin 23 supported by the corresponding upright 3. The pin 23 blocks the downward translation of the sleeve 21 and thus defines the maximum opening of the cross formed by the bars 16. The lower portions of the uprights 3 are interconnected by two metal bars not shown. These bars are coaxial with each other when stroller 1 is in

  position of use. These bars are hinged in-

  coaxial with each other. The pin 17 supports in or

  whose second ends are attached to the ends

  opposite longitudinal tees of the pin 26.

  The stroller 1 further comprises a seat 35 comprising a backrest 36, a base wall not shown and two side walls 37 extending upward from the side edges of the base wall. Both the backrest and the base wall are made so as to be foldable on themselves. The backrest 36 is substantially U-shaped and comprises a central portion which extends upwards from a rear edge of the base wall of the seat 35 and two lateral portions

  38 parallel to each other and to the side walls 37.

  Frame 2 includes a normally metal structure

  lique and network-shaped, which supports the central portion of the backrest 36. This structure comprises two lateral elements 41 (illustrated in broken lines in FIGS. 1 and 2) which have a lower end hinged with the journal 19. The elements 41 are fixed to the lateral edges of the central portion of the backrest 36. To the structure supporting the central portion of the backrest 36 is fixed a stirrup 42 which serves

  placed along the side edges of the base wall of the seat 35, further support the side walls 27. The elements 51 have a rear end

  articulated with the corresponding turnbuckle 19 and an ex-

  front mite articulated at the upper end of a corresponding metal bar 52, curved so as to have a concavity facing upwards. The

  lower portions of the bars 52 support a plate

  as footstool 53. An intermediate portion of the

  element 51 is supported by a pin 54 on which

  is articulated the upper end of the upright 12 cor-

  respondent. On the tourilion 54 is also articulated a stirrup 55 supporting a journal 56 on which is articulated the upper end of a metal bar 57 whose lower end is articulated on a journal 58 supported by a stirrup 61 fixed to that of the bars connecting the lower portions of the uprights 3 closest to the upright 3 articulated to the upright 12 in question. From the lower end of each

  element 41 extends downwards an appendix not illus-

  tré on which is articulated the rear end of a metal element 62 parallel and placed below the element 51. This element 62 has a front end articulated on an upper portion of the bar 52. From the wall base of seat 35 extends forward, to plate 53, an appendage 63 of

  width equal to the distance between the two bars 52.

  The side walls 37 are connected at the front by a journal 64 covered with a sleeve 65 normally in

  plastic material. From the upper edge of each

  that side wall 37 extends outwards an ap-

  pendice 66 suitable for constituting an arm.

  As illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, each wall

  lateral 37 of the seat 35 comprises two plates 67,

  both rectangular, mutually parallel, orthogonal to the support plane and fixed from below to the element 51. The plates 67 have, in the vicinity

  from their upper rear vertex, through holes

  in the outer plate 67 and the hole 71 in the plate

  than 67 interior. Between the two plates 67 is a metal tongue 72 having a rear end fixed by means of a screw 69 (figure

  2) to the corresponding element 41. Tab 72 pre-

  feels a curved longitudinal axis, defined by a

  circumference whose center is at a point which remains below the seat 35. The tongue 72 has along its longitudinal axis a through slot 73. The holes 68 and 71 are coaxial with each other and in use the tongue 72 is placed between them. A screw 74 having a threaded rod 75 and a head 76 engages successively, by its rod 75, in the hole 71, in the slot 73 and in the hole 68. Outside the hole 68, the rod 75 is screwed in a threaded hole made axially in a rod 77 of a handle 78 having a head 81. By rotating the handle 78 clockwise, an increasing portion of the rod 75 protrudes beyond the hole 68. This causes a approximation between the head 76 of the screw 75 and the rod 77 of the handle 78. The rod 77 having a diameter greater than that of the hole 68, the action of approximation between the head 76 and the rod 77 determines a pressure of the head 76 on plate 67, interior

  and a pressure of the rod 77 on the plate 67 outside

  better. The plates 67 are therefore pressed towards each other, blocking the tongue 72 which is between them. Counterclockwise rotation of the handle

  78 releases the tongue 72 which can follow the inclination

  sound of the structure which supports the backrest 36 around the journal 19. The wall 37 has a coating which covers the plates 67. Only the handle 18 remains outside this coating, which has close proximity

  from the rear edge of the plates 67 a slit through the

  which can pass a rear portion of the tongue 72.

  Referring to Figures 1 and 2, we will now describe

  nant how to achieve a reduction in size by folding the frame 2. Placing a foot on a body 82 supported by an upright 12, the user pulls up, by means of the sleeve 47, the amount 43. The upward translation of this amount 43 occurs against the action of the springs 34 and causes the upward movement of the body 27 and also, via one of the bars 25, the upward movement of the point of articulation between the bars connecting the lower portions of the uprights 3. This determines the mutual approximation of the uprights 3 which also causes the mutual approximation of the uprights

  12. The effect of all this is the folding in on them-

  same both of the central portion of the backrest 36 and of the base wall of the seat 35, due to the mutual approximation of the elements 41 of the structure which supports the backrest and of the elements 51 of the structure which supports the base wall. In addition, the bars 52, which rotate clockwise around their point of articulation

  with the respective elements 51 because of the inclination

  its in front of the structure which supports the backrest 36, also approach each other. This latter structure is connected, via

  elements 62, to the bars 52 in the manner already defined

  write. This means that the bars 52 follow the rotation of the structure which supports the backrest 36

  around the pin 19; if this structure turns over

  In particular, the stroller 1 has a backrest 36 which can be tilted in a simple manner. From the description, given above, of the tongue blocking system 72, it can be seen that the angular positions of the backrest 36

  can be infinite, while the positions of in-

  maximum clinching depend on the longitu-

  slot 73. In addition, as a result of the va-

  riation of the inclination of the backrest 365, the position of

  the foot plate 53 also varies. The push

  Finally, it is clear that modifications can be

  brought to the stroller described and illustrated without

from the scope of the invention.

  In particular, the system which regulates the inclination of the backrest 36 can be mounted on a stroller having a frame different from the frame 2. In addition, the tongue 72 can be both inside and outside of the side wall 37. Finally, the tongue 72 can be fixed by its front end to the wall

  lateral 37 and a rear portion can be fixed at the

  yen of screw 74 and handle 78 to back 36.

Claims (14)

Claims.   1. Reclining stroller (36), characterized in that it comprises a frame (2) and a seat (35) comprising said back (36) supported by a first structure (41) connected to the frame (2) , a base wall and two side walls (37) supported by a second structure (51) articulated to the first structure (41) so as to make it possible to vary, in use, the inclination of the latter relative to the second structure (51); two bodies (72) connecting the backrest (36) to the two side walls (37)   respectively to allow the file (36) to take   dre different angular positions.   2. Stroller according to claim 1, characterized in   that each of said bodies (72) has a rear end   attached to the backrest (36) and a front portion which can be fixed by means of locking means (74 and   78) to the corresponding side wall (37).   3. Stroller according to claim 1, characterized in   that each of said bodies (72) has a front end fi-   attached to the side wall (37) and a rear portion which can be fixed by means of blocking (74 and 78) in the file (36).   4. Stroller according to one of claims 2 and 3,   characterized in that the locking means comprise   a handle (78) into which a first screw (74) can be screwed; said body (72) being interposed   between the handle (78) and the first screw (74).   5. Stroller according to claim 4, characterized in that said body comprises a tongue (72) of which   the longitudinal axis describes an arc of a circle and presenting.   along this axis a through slot (73) receiving   a threaded rod (75) of the first screw (74).   6. Stroller according to one of claims 9 to 12,   characterized in that the first uprights (3) are   internally hollow and receive each, in its   interior space, a lower portion of a fourth upright (7) of which an upper portion is covered   by a second sleeve (8) capable of constituting a poi-   gnea; the fourth upright (7) being able to move   axially so as to allow the user to   re vary the height of this handle as desired.   14. Stroller according to one of claims 9 to 13,   characterized in that the first structure (41) supports   carries a stirrup (42) suitable for constituting a guide for   the axial translation of the third upright (43), the ex-   upper end (46) thereof being covered by a third sleeve (47) capable of constituting a handle.
