Abstract

The connector has a C-shaped part (1) with a clamping bolt (6) passing through a threaded hole in one arm. The bolt has a clamping seat (7) at one end to press the cable (9) against the inside of the other arm (3) of the C. The end of the bolt without the seat is located inside a ring (11) and has a head (12) attached to it by a pin (33). The head resets against the inside of the ring. The friction between the head and this inside face of the ring determines the maximum couple that can be applied to the bolt to clamp the cable. When this couple is exceeded the head slips and the bolt ceases to rotate.
