Abstract

A car seat (2) can be folded flat to give an extension of the floor. The folding axis (X-X) is carried by the upper end of a crank (5) pivoted to the floor (8) and the crank can move between two stops and is held by a spring against the front one. The seat can be pivoted on two cranks (5) joined by a cross bar (6) turning in bearings (7) fixed to the floor. The stops can be a part (9) the ends of which (10, 11) join the cranks to limit their movement. A spring (12) against one end (11), presses towards the other.
