Abstract

The frame for a bicycle is made up of modular elements which allow the size to be adjusted. A similar structure with modifications can be used for a standard bicycle, a child's cycle, a tandem and also a special cycle which is ridden in a reclining posture. The main member between the handlebars and the bottom bracket consists of plates with spacers between them, the upper parts sliding over the lower parts for length adjustment, then locked together. These plates incorporate sets of slots. The front and rear forks have portions with holes through them so that bolts can be inserted at different points to vary the dimensions of those parts of the frame.
