Abstract

Armchair has seating surfaces(1) linked to the foot rest(8) and to which at least the backrest is articulated. Between the seat(1) and the backrest(7) a movement controlling mechanism(11) is provided which has a double action. The control element of this mechanism is positioned in such a way that the position can be altered by the user in the seated position. The movement mechanism(11, 12) has an electric motor (11a, 12a) and is connected with the control housing. A second movement mechanism(18) is connected to a second articulation(18) so that thorugh control of the second mechanism(18) the inclination of the seat(1) can be changed from one position to another at will.
