Abstract

The boot is used for medical pressotherapy and comprises a cover stretching from thigh and over the foot. The cover is in two parts, split longitudinally for fitting over the patient's leg. Inside the cover are several separate pockets, each forming an inflatable ring around a specific area of the lib, such as the thigh(1), calf(2), ankle(3), and sole(4) of the foot. Each of these separate pockets has its own individual connector(5) for the operating air supply. In use, the limb is inserted into the boot and the compressed air connected to whichever part of the limb requires treatment.
