Abstract

The roller skate or skateboard is for travelling over a good surface, having two narrow and large-dia. wheels (1), together with a suspension system (2, 3) and a brake shoe (4) below the footplate. There are only two wheels, at front and rear, and they are arranged to rotate in one direction only. They can be mounted by means of pivot links. Springs are provided to absorb vibration and shock, and the brake can be actuated by inclining the feet inwards.
