Abstract

The folding pushchair has separate side frames (6) with each frame supporting one front and one rear wheel. The frames are linked to the main frame (2) by interlocking sleeves secured by spring clips (16) through holes in frame and sleeve. The rear ends of the frames are braced on the main frame by struts (18) for lateral stability as well as springing. The rigid seat panel (9) is pivotted in the main frame while the rear edges are fitted with loops (18) which slide over the support struts (8) for springing movement while providing lateral stability. The vehicle is stable over rough ground and is not likely to collapse easily.
