Abstract

The frame is composed of tubular main elements cross linked by folding linkages. Each side of the frame comprises one long member terminating in a handle at one end and having a wheel spigot at the other, and one short member hinged at mid length to the long member. The hinge point is such that the frames are X shaped, carrying wheels at the bottom ends. Two folding cross braces connect the two X frames laterally and in addition the handle section extension of the X is pivoted to fold parallel along the bottom portion. The form of the X frame is maintained by tubular "arm rests" hinged to the long members and snap fitted to the tops of the short members.
