Abstract

The pneumatic tyre is mounted onto the wheel by a conical roller (12) which moves circumferentially and forces the tyre over the rim. The tyre is initially held over the rim at one point by a tool (1) having a lateral handle (3) joined to a square hollow shaft (15). The shaft contains a sliding rod held in compression downwards by an internal helical spring and the top of the rod has a knob (8) allowing it to be pullsed upwards. The base of the rod (14) fits outside the rim and an angle stirrup (2, 4) has a bottom flat face which pushes the tyre over the rim.
