Abstract

A folding perambulator has two tubular X frames which have a wheel at the end of each arm of the X frames, a horizontal cross member at the top, and U shape handle which is attached to the top of one arm of each X frame. A seat made of flexible material can be readily fitted for an older child, or substituted by a basinette type for a young child. The flexible seat has an apron, at the rear, extending higher than the sides to be attached at the top to the handle, the upper edge of the apron having a hem fitting over a rod whose hooked ends pass round the handle, and the handle carries stops projecting outwards to support the hooked ends. The side fold over and are secured by press studs.
