Abstract

The device consists of a locking ring (8) which can slide over the hinged frame members (1), (3), (5). These are hinged at the pivot pins (4), (2). Around pivot pin (4) a triangularly shaped piece (10) can turn slightly in each direction. This has curved projections (9) (10) and two pins (12) which correctly position the frame members. In the folded positions, frame members (3) and (5) are nearly parallel. In the working position they are more nearly at 45 deg. By sliding the ring appropriately the frame can be locked in the position desired, the triangularly shaped piece preventing undesired movement of the ring. The triangularly shaped piece may be folded or stamped from sheet metal.
