Abstract

Patient support trough for radiology, esp. for children, has a seating surface at righty angles to the trough's length. Preferably the surface has an opening permittin access to the patient's rectum and urinary tract. The walls on both sides of the seating surface is elevated. The trough tapers from the head end to the foot end, and the seating surface is formed by a board fastened in it; the trough is perforated in the region of the seating surface opening, for access from outside to the patient. The trough may have 2 parts at different levels, connected by an inclined surface forming the seating surface, and forming obtuse angles with these parts. Children can be positioned naturally in the trough.
