Abstract

The wheelchair has a footplate (5) placed at a lower end of a plate post (10), and a calf support (6) extending in front of the post in utilization position. A hinge mechanism allows tilting of the footplate from its utilization position to a stable withdrawal position, where the mechanism is arranged between the footplate and a chassis. The mechanism has a horizontal hinge pin (16) that connects the footplate to the post, and an upper hinge pin (12) that connects the post to the chassis.
