Wenn die Feststellung oder Arretierung gelöst werden soll, wird beispielsweise über einen schematisch dargestellten Bowdenzug 8, der an einem Punkt 9 des Sperrteils 4 befestigt ist, dieses Sperrteil 4 aus der Sperrstellung entgegen der Kraft der Feder 6 um die Anlenkpunkte 51 und 52 verschwenkt, bis die Zähne oder Fortsätze 10 an dem Sperrteil 4 außer Eingriff mit der Zahnleiste 11 treten. Dadurch wird ein Ausrücken des Sperrteils 4 aus seiner Sperrstellung entgegen der Wirkung der Feder 6 verhindert. Diese Blockierung des Sperrteils in der Schrägstellung der Operationstisch-Liegefläche erfolgt selbsttätig und ohne Zutun der Bedienungsperson, so daß diese auch nicht aus Versehen die Arretierung der Operationstisch-Liegefläche lösen kann.
