Abstract

Poly(lactide-co-glycolide)polymer containing at least 25 mol per cent lactic acid units and up to 75 mol per cent glycolic acid units and method for preparation thereof. The polylactides are suitable for use in pharmaceutical agents containing a pharmacologically active acid-stable polypeptide, such as releases the polypeptide at approximately constant rate in a primarily single-phase manner with little or no induction period for the release when placed in an aqueous physiological environment.
