Abstract

The wheelchair is assembled of a seat (10) and a backrest (19), two manually driven large wheels (1), a telescopic footrest (15) and two small swivel mounted front wheels (3). Each of the front wheels (3) is joined to the lower end of a bar (7) axially movable inside an outer bar (6) in order to raise the front of the seat area (10). The outer bars (6) have the curved shape of a part of a circle which has its center (5) at the hub of the large wheels (1).
