Bicycle

The invention relates to a bicycle with a frame and, if appropriate, a luggage rack with corresponding support struts.

Bicycles are known in many different shapes and designs. They are used to move people over long distances. Nowadays, the desire to ride a bike has increased considerably, and in many cases it has also become a family sport. This means that the adult usually rides a normal adult bike of a certain size, while a different vehicle, particularly a children's bike, is provided for the child. However, it is well known that the fitness of an adult does not match that of a child. After a short time, and especially when strenuous or going uphill, the child loses interest in riding his or her bike, so that either a break must be taken or the child must start the journey back.

The present invention is based on the task of further developing a bicycle of the above-mentioned type in such a way that it is possible for an adult to move this bicycle even if the child no longer moves his or her vehicle.

The solution to the problem is that a holding device for a child's vehicle, in particular a child's bike, is arranged on the wheel and/or the luggage carrier or its support struts and/or, if applicable, separate struts.

This arrangement makes it possible to take the vehicle away from the child if the child no longer wants to drive the vehicle or if they are tired, for example. It is usually a good idea to put the child in a suitable child seat on the same bicycle or an accompanying vehicle. A child's bicycle is usually considered as a vehicle for the child, but taking a tricycle, scooter, pedal car or the like is also possible and should be covered by the present inventive concept.

Where the holding device is attached to the bicycle is of secondary importance. It is likely that only an arrangement at the height of the rear wheel will be considered so that the other operation of the bicycle is not impaired. It can also be attached to existing struts, but separate struts can also be provided. In the present preferred embodiment, the holding device is attached to a cross strut of the frame for secure mounting and to a support strut of a luggage rack for stabilization. The above-mentioned child seat can then also be arranged on this luggage rack at the same time.

In order to take into account different designs of bicycles, the holding device should be connected to the crossbars or support struts via strips and be detachably attached to them. The height of the holding device should be chosen so that in any case one front wheel of the child's bicycle is raised off the road, so that the child's bicycle only rolls on the road with its rear wheel. This does not affect the maneuverability of the bicycle.

A simple bar that connects the front wheel to the holding device can be sufficient as a holding device. In the present embodiment - and preferably - a fork is selected that partially surrounds the front wheel, so that a stable and secure mounting of the child's bike is guaranteed.

To secure the fork, it may be sufficient that two of the fork's legs have grooves formed on the front side into which the axle of the front wheel can engage. In this case, the legs are then clamped onto the axle by tightening the front wheel nuts.

In order to improve and secure the corresponding mount, a bolt is provided that runs across the legs, which can be pushed through the spokes underneath the rim. It is secured, for example, by a locking pin or by screwing the bolt into the opposite leg. In this case, the bolt also has a threaded section and should also have a button for operation.

In this simple way, it is possible to accommodate a child's needs without great effort and continue a journey while ensuring that the child's vehicle can be carried without any difficulty.

A holding device 1 according to the invention connects a bicycle, designated overall by 2, to a children's bike 3. The holding device 1 has, as can be seen in particular in Figures 2 and 3, a fork 4, which can be pushed over a front wheel 5 of the children's bike 3. This position of use is shown in Figure 1.

The fork 4 preferably consists of two approximately parallel legs 6 and 7, which are connected to one another via an arch 8. Receiving grooves 9 are formed on the front of both legs 6 and 7, into which an axle 10 of the front wheel 5 can engage. Corresponding front wheel locking nuts can then secure the fixings of the holding device 1 to the front wheel.

Furthermore, a bolt 12 is provided, preferably with a threaded section, which can be operated by a button 13. After the fork 4 has been placed on the front wheel 5, the bolt 12 is pushed underneath a rim 14 through spokes (not shown in detail), so that the front wheel can be additionally secured to the holding device 1.

To connect the fork 4 to the bicycle 2 are strips

15 and 16 are provided, which in the present embodiment are connected to one another via a swivel joint 17. One bar 15 connects to a cross brace 18 of the bicycle frame and the other bar

16 to a support strut 19 for a luggage rack 20. The bars 15 and 16 are secured using corresponding connection clamps 21 and 22, respectively.

The operation of the present invention is as follows:

For a ride with a child on the children's bike 3 and, for example, an adult on the bicycle 2, the holding device 1 is secured to the bicycle 2 via the connecting clamps 21 and 22, whereby this holding device 1 only protrudes slightly from the side of the bicycle and thus does not interfere with the operation of this bicycle.

If it is determined that the child on the children's bike 3 is tired or that his or her interest in cycling is waning, the child can take his or her place in a child seat 23 on the luggage rack 20 of the bike 2 and be strapped in there, for example.

For further transport of the children's bike 3, it is hung in the holding device 1, whereby in the embodiment shown the fork overlaps the front wheel 5 and is fixed to the front axle 10. To secure it, the bolt 12 is pushed through the spokes below the rim 14.

By securing the child's bike 3 to the holding device 1, it is ensured that the child's bike 3 is raised from a road surface 24 by a dimension a, so that the front wheel 5 is put out of operation. The child's bike

can now be easily carried together with the bicycle, whereby it is supported on the roadway 24 only by a rear wheel 25.

If the child then feels like cycling again, the children's bike 3 can simply be released from the holding device 1.

PROTECTION CLAIMS 1. Bicycle with a frame and, if necessary, a luggage carrier (20) with corresponding support struts (19), characterized, that a holding device (1) for a child's vehicle, in particular a child's bike (3), is arranged on the frame and/or the luggage carrier or its support struts (19) and/or optionally separate struts... 2. Bicycle according to claim 1, characterized in that the holding device (1) lifts a front wheel (5) of the child's bicycle (3) from a roadway (24). 3. Bicycle according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the holding device (1) is detachably coupled via strips (15, 16) to a cross brace (18) and a support brace (19) of the bicycle (2). 4.
