Zunächst müssen solche Betten eine angenehme und günstige Sitz-und Einsteighöhe besitzen und das Pflegepersonal muß in der Lage sein, die erforderlichen Arbeiten und Versorgungen bequem durchführen zu können. Es ist bekannt, daß zu diesen Zwecken solche Betten konstruktiv derart ausgelegt sind, daß sie mit der Matratze und der Auflage ganz oder teilweise zur Höhen-und Neigungsverstellung eingerichtet sind und zum Schutz der Kranken oder Pflegebedürftigen mit seitlichen Sicherheitsteilen oder Seitengittern versehen werden. Dabei hat sich das Erfordernis ergeben, daß dieser seitliche Sicherheits-N teil ausklappbar oder verschiebbar gelagert werden muß.In practice, the use of such beds places high demands on versatility.
