Abstract

A lifting device assists a seated disabled person to stand. The lifting device consists of a castor-mounted L-shaped upright frame with an inclined lifting jack (3) with a horizontal side-extension to a horizontal U-shaped support which is presented to the rib cage under the arms. The lower end (4) of the inclined jack has knee-pads which support the lower legs as the frame (8) raises the patient from the seated position.

Mobile patient lifting and transfer lift with clamp armpit supports

The invention relates to lifting devices for insecure or disabled persons who are transferred from a sitting to a generally standing position.

Lifting devices of this type preferably consist of a chassis with a lifting mast, to which at least one boom is usually attached in a movable manner. A knee holder is usually attached to the mast to support the knees. Lifting devices that follow this principle are known in several versions. However, they mostly have the disadvantage that the desired direction of the pulling forces, especially steeply upwards, cannot be adjusted to different people, or is difficult to adjust.

The ergonomic standing up movement is rarely understandable. Since the pulling direction is not flexible, the lifting process is often perceived as unpleasant.

The object of the invention is to create a lifting device that meets the ergonomics of the patient.

The invention is based on the assumption that the movement of the patient's trunk is determined by the length of his thighs. This path is made possible by the slanted arrangement of the rail profile.

In order to avoid the cumbersome application of holding belts or padded rolls, one of the objects of the invention is to pick up and lift the patient using electrically adjustable shoulder supports. If the patient is to be transported over a longer distance, two thigh supports can be attached to the shoulder support structure, which help to reduce weight under the armpits. Since the patient is held absolutely securely in this device, the knee supports that are otherwise usual are no longer required.

In case the patient is to be transported standing, an additional footrest can be used.

If the device is to be used for standing exercises (circulatory stabilization, prevention of urinary tract congestion, etc.), no footrest is required. To a certain extent, the device can also be used as a walking training device.

Description

The uprighting and transfer lift, equipped with a removable battery system (11), is activated by hand control (13) via a multi-channel control box (12).
The functions for the electric chassis (1), the linear drive (4) for the lifting movement, as well as the operation for the spreading motor for the adjustable armpit supports (8) housed in the housing (6) can be controlled separately.
An overcurrent detection switches off the linear drive (4) in the end positions.
The axillary support pressure of the spreading motor is also limited by overcurrent detection.

When extended, the armpit supports (8) are pushed under the patient's armpits when approaching the patient.

The linear drive (4) is raised until the armpit supports are at armpit height.

Now the spreading motor is retracted and switches off automatically at approx. 8.5 kp pressing pressure

To move the patient and for longer transport, the thigh holders (15) are pushed under the patient's thighs.
The straps (16) for the thigh supports (15) are adjustable. The patient is then lifted using the linear drive (4), whereby the carriage (5) is moved up in the rail profile (3) until the buttocks have enough space.
Now the patient can be moved.

If the patient is to be transferred standing, the thigh supports are not used.

To do this, the patient's feet are placed on the footrest (14) and the carriage (5) is raised until the patient has reached the standing position.

In order to secure the device, the rear rollers (2) of the chassis are equipped with brakes.

To ensure that the patient can be picked up or put down from wide wheelchairs or armchairs, the chassis (1) can be spread or electrically adjusted in parallel to different clearances between the chassis legs.
After the transfer process is complete, the patient is lowered onto the appropriate seat using a linear drive (4) and the shoulder supports (8) are spread apart again using a spreading motor. Due to the slanted arrangement of the rail profile (3), the patient's thigh length is used as a criterion for ergonomically moving from the sitting position to the standing position.

Claims (6)

1. Standing and transfer lift characterized in that two padded shoulder supports clamp the patient around the rib arches and hold him securely in position, whereby excessive contact pressure is safely avoided and slipping out is prevented. 2. Standing and transfer lift according to claim 1, characterized in that additional thigh supports can be attached to the armpit supports in order to optimize the weight distribution and reduce the tension under the armpits. 3. Standing up and transfer lift characterized in that the lift column is arranged at an angle to compensate for the reference measurement of the thigh length from the sitting position to the standing position in order to enable ergonomic standing up. 4. Standing and transfer lift characterized in that an additional footrest makes it possible to transport the patient in a standing position. 5. Standing and transfer lift characterized in that the chassis is adjustable in width in order to be able to move around wide wheelchairs or armchairs. 6.
